[HF] Windows 7 Seven Ultimate Fully Activated For Ever

posted By singhiskinng999 0 comments

Windows 7 Seven Ultimate Fully Activated For Ever
Size: 3.47 GB
No serial and no activation needed
32/64-bit | Multi Languages | DVD ISO | Bootable | Activated

Install:
- Download and extract using WinRAR.
- Use NERO to burn the ISO image called "faXcooL.Windows.7.Ultimate.ENG.x86-x64.ACTiVATED"
- Burning speed should not be faster than 4x. Otherwise, it might not work.
- Restart your computer.
- Make sure you've seleceted your DVD-ROM/RW drive as a first boot device

* Enter the BIOS pressing the DEL button, set the option, insert your Windows 7 installation and restart computer.
- The black screen will appear (image 01).
- Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.... (by pressing the key you're entering the setup)
- Select your language, time and currency and keyboard input (optionaly)
- Click install now
- Choose your edition (x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit) depending of CPU type you have.

*Choose x64 if you have 64-bit processor.
- Click "I accept".
- Click "Custom (advanced).
- Choose your partition/hdd drive where Win7 should be installed and click format.

*You might get some error if you have two or more hard disks with different connectors (ATA and SATA).
If you get an error, turn off one of your hard disks and repeat the whole proces.
- After formatting, setup will continue automaticly and it will finish after 15-30 min.
- Next step would be username (Image 17).
- Type your password (if you want).
- When you get the screen for CD-KEY just ignore it leaving blank.

*Uncheck the box for automaticly activation and click next.
- Choose the third option for next step.
- Select your time zone.
- Select your current location (Home is recommended).
- The black CMD windows will appear. Wait a few seconds until computers restares once again.
- And that would be all about installation. You're in Windows now.

Activation:
It's not required, because it's OEM. Windows will be premanently activated.
However, it's well known that there is some problems with DELL and HP machines.

Important notes:

1- Remember When Windows is finalizing Its Installation There Will Be A Black Screen Appear (cmd) Prompt It will Stay Blinking for about 2 to 10 mins Depending on the system you are using Then It Will say ***-***-***-***-**** Key Installed Successfully Then It Will restart Automatically. Then U can go to My computer`s Properties U Will See Windows Is Activated.

2- DELL and HP machines, Use an Activator or the crack supplied if anything. 80% the activators will work meanwhile the other 20% depends on how old your Laptop/Computer, If you did an Upgrade you'll have to use an Activator regardless because this Version was made for a fresh installation.

3- If you do not want to be forced to use an activator I'd do a Custom install but you don't really have to format your driver due to the fact that Windows 7 will just overwrite your current windows and put the old windows in a folder called "Windows.old" where your previous windows installion files are kept. And it's optional if you choose to deleted the olf folder because the drivers are "surpisingly" there after installation. Make sure you are connected to the internet before and after the installion (meaning that when your ready to set up your connection.Go for the fresh Installation if you dont really have important programs you can easily re-install at a later time.

4-Burn the ISO image at the lowest speed possible and Also your burning app. must verify the burn (the ISO)......
System Requirements & Info:
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

*1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
*1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
*16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
*DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Windows 7 is the easiest, fastest, and most engaging version of Windows yet. Better ways to find and manage files, like Jump Lists and improved taskbar previews, help you speed through everyday tasks. Faster and more reliable performance means your PC just works the way you want it to. And great features like HomeGroup and Windows Touch make new things possible. Get to know Windows 7, and see how it can simplify just about everything you do with your PC.
So if you have issues with pre-activation you'll be forced to some activator to activate Windows 7.

As we all know, Windows stores most of the passwords which are used on a daily basis, including instant messenger passwords such as MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Windows messenger etc. Along with these, Windows also stores passwords of Outlook Express, SMTP, POP, FTP accounts and auto-complete passwords of many browsers like IE and Firefox. There exist many tools for recovering these passwords from their stored places. Using the below method you can hack passwords from your friend's/college Computer using USB pen drive

Instructions: 1. Extract the "USBThief_Modified_by_NEO" (Download link given below) zipped RAR file anywhere on your PC. 2. Now, on your USB, run the file called "hideh.bat" or "hideh"... This will make all the USB Thief files invisible on the USB. 5. Delete the "hideh" file from your USB. 6.Take the USB out, go to the computer you want to steal information from, plug the USB in. 7. After 5 seconds all the information will be transfered and stored on the USB invisibly. 8. Take the USB out, go to your original PC, plug the USB in and go to the folder in your COMPUTER called "USBThief_Modified_by_NEO", right click the "showh.bat" or "showh", copy it and paste it on your USB. 9. SHUTDOWN COMPUTER WITH A CELLPHONE

posted By singhiskinng999 February 26, 2010 0 comments

Using this method, a user can shutdown, restart, hibernate, etc. his or her computer, just by sending an email from his or her phone.

To do this, all you will need is Microsoft Outlook which should come with Microsoft Office, which most people have. This will need to be on the computer wish you wish to shutdown.

So, this is how you do this:

1. First, you need the batch files to perform the Shutdown, Hibernate etc. You can write them down yourselves

2. open your note pad

and write lik this...

c:\windows\system32\shutdown -s -f -t 00

and save it as shutdown.bat

3. Open up Microsoft Outlook. Make sure that you have already configured it for your email. Now we will need to make it so that Outlook checks your inbox about every minute (1 minute for testing time can be increased if a delayed shutdown is desired). You can do this by going to Tools: Options.

4. Then click the Mail Setup tab, and afterwards, the Send/Receive button.
5. Make sure that the Schedule an automatic send/receive every... box is checked, and set the number of minutes to 1. Now you may close all of these dialog boxes.

6. Now go to Tools: Rules and Alerts... Next click the options button in the upper right hand corner and press the Import Rules button.

7. Now select the shutdown.bat file ...which you have created ...

8. Now, when you send a message from your phone to your e-mail address with the subject shutdown or smsshutdown%%, your computer will shutdown.

PROTECT PC FROM PEN DRIVE VIRUSES

posted By singhiskinng999 February 25, 2010 0 comments

Friends many of your PC/laptop's normally gets virus because of Pen Drives or USB devices (Even PC's who are not connected to network ). Some Virus like Ravmon Virus , Heap41a worm which are not detected by anti virus normally spreads mostly by the Pen Drives . In such a case what can you do to prevent your PC from getting infected with Virus that spreads through USB devices or Pen Drives ?
You can protect your PC by just following the simple steps below . It won't take much time.

Connect your Pen Drive or USB drive to your computer .
Now a dialogue window will popup asking you to choose among the options as shown in the figure.
Don't choose any of them , Just simply click Cancel.

*Now go to Start--> Run and type cmd to open the Command Prompt window .

*Now go to My Computer and Check the Drive letter of your USB drive or Pen Drive.
( E.g. If it is written Sudhakaran (I), then I: will be the drive letter .)

*In the Command Window ( cmd ) , type the drive letter: and Hit Enter .

*Now type dir/w/o/a/p and Hit Enter

*You will get a list of files . In the list , search if anyone of the following do exist

1. Autorun.inf
2. New Folder.exe
3. Bha.vbs
4. Iexplore.vbs
5. Info.exe
6. New_Folder.exe
7. Ravmon.exe
8. RVHost.exe or any other files with .exe Extension .

If you find any one of the files above , Run the command attrib -h -r -s -a *.* and Hit Enter.

Now Delete each File using the following Command del filename ( E.g del autorun.inf ) .

That's it .Now just scan your USB drive with the anti virus you have to ensure that you made your Pen
Drive free of Virus .

Hi Frnds...
This virus is very very common now...
To know whether ur system is infected just type C:\heap41a in the address bar...
if there is a folder named heap41a, then ur system is infected...
(AVAST antivirus is the best solution for this worm...)

Google Talk Cheat Sheet

posted By singhiskinng999 0 comments

Are you crazy about Google Talk. Do you want to be become a master of Google Talk? Then here is a source for you to know each and every secret of Google Talk. I think this is a complete list of tips, tricks, hacks, howto’s, keyboard shortcuts and few miscellaneous facts about Google Talk.

Tips & Tricks

1. Change the font size

While holding the control key, move the scroll wheel on your mouse either up or down. This trick works while being focused in either the read or write area.

2. Insert line breaks

If you want to have a message that spans multiple paragraphs, just hold shift and hit enter. You can add as many new lines as you want to create.

3. Bold Text

To write something bold, you can use an asterisk before and after the word.

4. Italic Text

To use italics, use an underscore before and after the word.

5. Switch windows

Hitting tab will cycle through open windows. It will select minimized conversations, to expand them just hit enter. If you just want to cycle through IM’s and don’t care about the buddy list, control-tab will do that and will automatically expand a minimized conversation if you settle on one.

6. Invitation Tips

You don’t need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this in the options).

7. Show Hyperlinks

You can show your homepage or blog URL simply by entering it in your away message (at the top of the main window). It will automatically turn to a link visible to others.
How To’s

1. Use multiple identities on Google Talk

Want to run Google Talk with multiple Gmail identities? If you have several Google Gmail accounts you also may want to run multiple instances of Google Talk This is especially important for families that share a single PC. Basically, to have “Google Polygamy” you need to run Google Talk with the following switch: /nomutex

* Right-click on the desktop
* Select New -> Shortcut
* Paste the following into the Address box:

“C:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex

* Click Next and choose a shortcut name such as Google Talk1, Google Talk2, or something related to your Gmail account for easy remembering which account is which.

2. Use Google Talk via a Web Browser

You want to use Google Talk anywhere ? Follow these guidelines :)

* Opens your favourite web browser.
* Go to following Website

http://www.webjabber.net:8080/jim/

* Follow the instructions of the Page.
* You can talk with your friends

3. Conference Calls

* Open up a copy of Google Talk on all computers with which you wish to conference.
* After one copy is opened make a new shortcut for Google Talk but at the end of it add /nomutex.
* If you installed it to the default folder then your shortcut should read “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex.
* Open 2nd instances of the software on every user’s computer.
* After this start a chain: User 1 should connect on one instance to user 2. User 2 will connect on his second instance to user 3. User 3 will connect using his second instance back to user 1. With this chain everyone is connected to everyone.

4. Change Nickname

You can’t change your nickname in a way that other people will see it change. Every nickname in the Google Talk Contact List is the part that is before @gmail.com (only the alphabetical characters are used) or the name you chosen for your GMail account. To change the nickname you need to do the following:

* Go to your Gmail account and change the name there.
* Choose Settings, Accounts, and then Edit info. Click on the second radio button, and enter your custom name.
* As a result all of your emails will have that nick as well, there is no way to seperate the two.
* You can add a website in your custom message, it will be clickable when someone opens a conversation window with you.

5. Contacts

You don’t need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this).

5. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

The “Google/Google Talk” key has several sub-keys that hold different option values:

Accounts: This one has subkeys for each different account that has logged in on the client. These keys have different values that store the username, password and connection options.

Autoupdate: Stores the current version information. When the client checks for updates it compares Google’s response with these values. If an update is needed, it will download and update the new version.

Options: This is the most interesting part, where most of the current hacks should be used (keep reading).

Process: Stores the process ID. Probably used by Google Talk to detect if it’s already running or not.

1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\show_pin

If 1, shows a “pin” next to the minimize button that keeps the windows on top of all the other open windows when clicked.
2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\view_show_taskbutton

If 0, hides the taskbar button, and leaves the tray icon only, when the window is shown
3. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\away_inactive

If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.
4. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\away_screensaver

If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.
5. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\inactive_minutes

Number of inactive minutes to become away if auto-away is on.

Google’s Secret Command-Line Parameters

There are a few secret parameters you can add to Google Talk and make it function differently.

You can use these parameters as follows:

“C:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” [PARAMETER]
Parameter Use
/nomutex Allows you to open more than one instance of Google Talk
/autostart It will check the registry settings to see if it needs to be started or not. If the “Start automatically with Windows” option is unchecked, it won’t start.
/forcestart Same as /autostart, but forces it to start no matter what option was set.
/S upgrade Used when upgrading Google Talk
/register Registers Google Talk in the registry, includig the GMail Compose method.
/checkupdate Check for newer versions.
/plaintextauth Uses plain authentication mechanism instead of Google’s GAIA mechanism. Used for testing the plain method on Google’s servers.
/nogaiaauth Disables GAIA authentication method. The same as /plaintextauth .
/factoryreset Set settings back to default.
/gaiaserver servername.com Uses a different GAIA server to connect to Google Talk. Used for debug purposes only, there are no other known GAIA servers.
/mailto email@host.com Send an email with Gmail.
/diag Start Google Talk in diagnostic mode.
/log Probably has something to do with the diagnostic logging

10 REASONS TO ADOPT GOOGLE CHROME

posted By singhiskinng999 0 comments

An official version of Google Chrome has been available to try out for several months.

It fully supports flash and extensions, is super fast to both start-up and load pages and is so incredibly stable you will wonder why it’s not already been signed off and labeled “beta” already!

Below are 10 reasons why i think it should be your default browser.
Speed #1
First things first – Chrome is super fast. Quick, swift, pronto, whatever! it’s really fast at loading pages. Try two pages side-by-side in Firefox and Chrome and see.
Speed #2
A common complaint about Firefox in Ubuntu is the time it takes to start-up/launch/open. It’s not the most instant launching application!

Chrome, however, opens pretty much instantly allowing you to not have to waste time waiting to be able to do what you need to…
Extensions:This may or may not be a shock to you – but Google Chrome already has extensions! Tons of them!
Including: -
Adblockers
YouTube video downloader's
Last.FM players
Weather updates
Xmarks bookmarks sync
Flash blockers
Gmail and Google Reader notifiers
Google Calendar alerts
Easy RSS subscription button
IE8-esque accelerators
Smooth scroll
Cookie Cleaner
Session save
And this is just the beginning!

You can find these and plenty more on awesome Chrome User site chromeplugins.org

Functionality already built in
A lot of people who use Firefox may have plenty of add-ons – but many of these addons are not needed in Google Chrome because they’re already built in!
For example, the features that the following add-on’s provide are already built into Chrome : -

Addon FaviconizeTab Addon
A “faviconize tab” feature can be reached by right clicking a tab and choosing ‘pin tab’. This shrinks it down to just it’s favicon and keeps it open.

Speed-dial
Google Chrome’s “new tab” page is a speed-dial, allowing quick and painless access to your most popular sites.

Hide Menu
Chrome doesn’t have the traditional layout of a main menu on top – it tucks all of it’s options away in logical system and preference buttons.
Take Your Chrome Bookmarks Everywhere!
Google Chrome has built in bookmark syncing – meaning no more third party applications and extra logins – just use your Google Account and access all of your bookmarks on any computer using Chrome!

You can enable this feature suing the --enable-sync flag.
Userscripts
You can use the thousands of userscripts available at userscripts.org with Chrome!

Just create a folder called ‘'User Scripts’ in: -
~/.config/google-chrome/Default
and pop your download userscripts in it.

Note: You'll need to add --enable-user-scripts as a flag to your launcher.
Flash
Google Chrome has been flash-friendly for quite a long time and it is incredibly stable already. It's also fully HTML5 ready.
GTK Me Bebbe!
Google Chrome can use your gtk theme for ultimate desktop integration. Just go to the wrench icon > options > customize > Use GTK / use system borders.

It can be a bit hit-and-miss with some GTK themes as it pick up the colour for the border from the "highlight" colour in the GTK theme.

Firefox uses your GTK theme also, so this isn't exclusive to Chrome, but a feature people might not know about nonetheless!
Themes
If you don’t like the way your GTK theme looks on Chrome, why not try out a Chrome Theme? You can find plenty of them over @ https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html.
Glow goes very well when using the ‘Impression’ theme.
Folders is great with light coloured themes.
Earthy goes well with most dark themes – particularly shiki-dust and Karmic’s Human theme.

Web Apps On Your Desktop
Google Chrome also offers the ability to create application shortcuts to your favourite online applications - such as Google Docs, Avairy Suite, GTalk, etc.

You simply go to your favourite web app, hit the Control menu in Chrome and choose 'Create Application Shortcut'.

They run in their own separate windows and is a great way to get Google Tasks on your desktop amongst others!

For xp , vista and win 7 users , download google chrome from here

BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER

posted By singhiskinng999 0 comments

To build your own computer – it's a dream many a geek has had. Many have also fulfilled this – and also many non-geeks too. If you have a technically-inclined mind, can follow instruction, are patient, and are in need (or want) of a computer, then why not follow this guide and build your own?
A quick note – like there are many different uses for a computer system, there are also many different ways to build a computer system. Die-hard Geeks may wish to debate the order here, but the reality is that this way works. Other ways work also. And, of course, this tutorial was written up to go with some photos that one of our very own Tech Apprentices took when he built his own computer. So you may find that your system looks different from the pictures – for example, you may not have a discrete video card, and you may have two hard drives, and so on. If your system is markedly different from our example here, please feel free to post a thread and we can tell you any differences you need to incorporate into the build. For example, some aftermarket CPU heatsink/fans need a bracket on the underside of the motherboard, so this would need to be installed before the motherboard is fitted in the case.

1. Gather all Components
First things first – we need to ensure we have all the pieces. Here is a list of things you'll need:

* Case (and any extra Case Fans)
* Power Supply
* Motherboard
* CPU (Processor) and Heatsink/Fan (and thermal paste, if not included)
* RAM (Memory)
* Hard Drive
* Optical Drive (e.g. DVD Burner)
* Video Card (may be integrated into Motherboard)
* Sound Card (may be integrated into Motherboard)
* Networking Card (may be integrated into Motherboard)
* Keyboard
* Mouse
* Speakers
* Monitor
* Any extra add-on cards you may have for the build (eg. TV Tuner Card)
* OS Installation Disc (eg. Windows, Linux)

The idea is to get the bunch of parts into a working computer.

2. Gathering Your Tools
Once you have gathered your components, you need to ensure you have the right tools:

* Proper screwdrivers. (flat and philips)
* A pair of pointy-nose pliers
* Zip ties
* Scissors or snips for cutting off loose zip tie ends
* Patience and common sense Click the image to open in full size.

These tools should be all you need when building a computer. It is imporant to take anti-static precautions. Some people may wish to use an anti-static wriststrap. Once you have all the components and tools, read on and we'll explain how to build your own computer!

3. The Build
First, the case. Open both side panels, then install the standoffs that will keep the motherboard off the metal plate.

Ensure you only install to align with the holes on the motherboard

In the picture above you can see where the standoffs are installed. Use a set of pliers to make sure the standoffs are driven in firmly. Once you have installed the standoffs, next install the back panel I/O bracket that came with the motherboard. Usually, you'll find that the case's generic one is incorrect. Pop the old one out, and insert the one that came with the motherboard. Ensure that it is properly installed, as the motherboard will be hard up against it. Now it's time to install the motherboard. Simply position the motherboard in the correct position and slowly lower it down into the case. To ensure the motherboard is rotated the right way, the CPU socket should be toward the top-left of the case. Make sure you position it right on top of the standoffs so you can properly lock it in by driving screws in the holes on the motherboard where the standoffs are positioned. Put the screws in firm – not tight – so the motherboard is fastened securely.

After the motherboard, install the PSU. Slide the unit from inside the case, and sit it up flush against the back of the case. You'll see where you need to install the 4 screws that hold it in tight. Once it's in firmly, put the cables out of the way so you have as much room as possible inside the case (I.e. hang them up and outside the case).

Next, finish preparing the case for the rest of the components. If you are installing any add-on cards (such as a discrete video card), you'll need to remove the metal backing plate aligning with the corresponding installation slot.

Now move onto any case fans that need to be installed. Most cases come with at least one fan pre-installed on the back, such as our example did. We've also added one in front of where the hard drive will be located. Once the hard drive is installed, it's almost impossible to fit a fan in or out of there, so it's important to do this first. Make sure the case fan is facing so that the air is blown into the case over where the hard drive will be installed – this is an intake fan, and the fan on the back is an exhaust fan.

On the front of the case, you'll need to remove the bezel plates to make room for inserting any optical drives and floppy drives. In our example computer, you can see we have one DVD burner, but no floppy drives – so only one plate was removed.

Now there is room for the optical drive to fit, go ahead and install it. The unit should slide in from the front until it is sitting flush with the case. Some cases may have a “screw-less” or “tool-less” design, whereby a bracket needs to be removed to slide the unit in, and then returned into place and clipped into the lock position. This is how the Cooler Master case works in our example. Other cases will simply have holes ready, and you need to align them up and screw in firm.

After the optical drive, install the hard drive in the same manner. The only difference is that the hard drive should slide in to the lower cage from inside the case. Make sure the you insert it the correct way, so that the power and data connectors are facing the back of the case, ready to connect up at a later point. If you are installing a large graphics card (I.e. for a gaming computer), you may want to ensure you put the hard drive in the lower space to make as much room as possible for the graphics card and PSU cables. And – of course – if this build is using multiple graphics cards (SLI or Crossfire), then careful planning is needed prior to fitting the parts.

By now, the inside of the case should be starting to take shape. The motherboard, power supply, optical drive, and hard drive are all installed. Next we'll move on to the components that connect to the motherboard directly.

CPU – in our example, we have used a Socket 775 (Intel E8400) processor and motherboard combination. Other combinations may look different, such as having pins on the processor itself and not on the motherboard. Either way, take extreme caution, as even a slight bend to one of these pins can render the component useless.

Using the lever next to the CPU socket, unhinge it and then open the metal gate surrounding the socket. Most will have a protective cover that needs removing.

Handling the CPU gently by the edges, place the CPU into the socket, ensuring it is aligned the correct way.

This is the CPU sitting in place with the gate open

Gently close the metal gate surround.

Finally, use the lever to lock the metal gate surround into place – you may need to use firm pressure.

After the CPU is installed, fit the CPU heatsink/fan. If you have purchased a retail CPU, most come with thermal paste pre-applied to the heatsink. If this is the case, then you do not need to worry about putting your own paste on. If this is not the case, then you'll need to squeeze a small amount (about the size of a grain of rice) onto the CPU before mounting the heatsink on top.

Once the thermal paste is organised, and the CPU is ready to go, line up the heatsink and sit it in place. (If you are using a 3rd-party heatsink, you will need to follow the instructions provided with it). Press down firmly on the 4 corner clips to properly attach the heatsink to the motherboard, which puts the proper amount of pressure onto the CPU for maximum heat dissipation.

While we're on the CPU, we'll finish off the job by attaching the heatsink/fan power and sensor connector to the motherboard, and the 4-pin CPU power connector from the PSU to the motherboard close to the CPU. (Some newer variants may have an 8-pin power connector - this is for new high-powered CPU and motherboard combinations - consult your motherboard manual for which one you should use).

The RAM sticks are relatively easy to install. If your motherboard supports a dual-channel configuration, then it will most likely have the dual-channel slots already marked as such. In our example, we can see the slots are colour-coded - so install matching pairs of RAM sticks into matching slots. For our example, this means slots 1 and 3 will then be populated.

Once you've sorted out where the sticks are being installed, unlock the slots by moving the end levers outward.

Open the side locks, ready to install the RAM

Line the module up (the off-centre notch will ensure it only fits one way) and use steady, firm pressure to push it in. When it is in place, the slots at the end will have "snapped" into each side of the stick, securing it.

Now all the physical components should be installed for your system. All that's left to do is connect everything up. SATA data cables (or IDE ribbon cables for components that connect in that way) need to run from the device to the motherboard. Power cables from the PSU need to connect up to each component as necessary.

It is especially important to take care when running the cables from the PSU to each component – always try and get the “mess” minimised as much as possible, for a nicer look and better in-case airflow. Use zip ties to clean up loose ends, especially where the fans are located. It is in this regard that a modular PSU makes all the difference – only connect what is needed and the rest can be left in the box, instead of having to zip tie it all together and tuck the bundle out of the way as much as possible... Even so – with careful planning, a non-modular PSU can still be routed efficiently for good air-flow.

You should have already connected the CPU 4-pin (or 8-pin) connector, so next install the 24-pin ATX motherboard power connector, the DVD drive, the hard drive, the graphics card, and anything else in your specific system that needs a power cable.

Note from Artellos (Olrik): As you might see, I made a little mistake here. I didn't install the second RAM module in the other Yellow slot. This way the RAM doesn't run in Dual-Channel configuration. I should have placed the second one in the other yellow slot.

The final connections to be made are the case connectors to the motherboard. These are for the power and reset button, power and HDD light, and USB and other data connectors for the ports on the front of the case. As every case and motherboard is different, you'll need to carefully follow the instructions in the motherboard manual. Every manual should have wiring diagrams in detail. You may find it under the heading “Front Panel Connectors” or F_PANEL.

The Photo above is showing a very clean, simple look with the cables tied up nicely

4. The Result

And there you have it. Everything should now be complete, and ready for installation of theoperating system. In the photo below, we can see the system in all its glory, although a few more zip-ties to minimise the bunch of black cables from the PSU into a smaller bundle would be nice. Nonetheless, for a first-time build, this Tech Apprentice received top marks! (Well, the system worked, so that's good!)

The job complete!

All thats left to do is close the case side panels, to protect the important components inside, and to create the proper environment for in-case airflow – to keep all the components nice and cool.
If you are installing an OEM version of Windows, you need to put the COA sticker on the case
That's all there is to it!

Enjoy your new computer.
